Amy Hall is the Capital Area Teen Court program supervisor. Amy has been with Capital Area Teen Court and Criminal justice Alternatives for many years, and has seen the evolution of our program and systems. Amy works with clients, as well as with our funding source to ensure our program runs smoothly. A fun fact about Amy is that in her spare time, she paints beautiful decorative signs and dabbles in interior design!

Essence Ferguson is the Volunteer Outreach Coordinator for the Capital Area Teen Court. She was born & raised right here in Raleigh N.C. Essence is a graduate of North Carolina Central University’s School of Behavorial Sciences. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a concentration in juvenile Justice. Essence has a lot of knowledge about the Juvenile Justice system and is thrilled to be working for a diversion program. She enjoys playing cars with her two nephews and spending time with her friends and family.

Emma is one of our case managers at Capital Area Teen Court. She has been with the program for several years, and knows all the ins and outs of court proceedings, our restorative process, and other resources available to clients. Emma is a graduate of Appalachian state, a former swim instructor and lifetime Raleigh resident.

The Teen Traffic Diversion program is run by Nancy Reyna. Nancy has been with Capital Area Teen Court since May of 2023. Having previously been one of our teen court case managers, Nancy is incredibly well versed on all aspects of our teen court program. Nancy truly is a rockstar, balancing her Teen traffic duties, getting her Masters in Criminal Justice, and being a mom!

Bri is Teen Court’s newest case manager, but she fills an important role for our Spanish Speaking clients. A recent graduate of NC State, Bri is capital area teen court’s bilingual case manager. Having grown up in the Triangle area, Bri has an extensive understanding of the social services and resources available to our clients. Bri is working towards pursuing her masters in social work, and has lots of field experience in the realm of juvenile delinquency prevention.
