Amy Hall is the Capital Area Teen Court program supervisor. Amy has been with Capital Area Teen Court and Criminal justice Alternatives for many years and has seen the evolution of our program and systems. Amy works with clients, as well as with our funding source to ensure our program runs smoothly. A fun fact about Amy is that in her spare time, she paints beautiful decorative signs and dabbles in interior design!

Essence Ferguson is the Volunteer Outreach Coordinator for the Capital Area Teen Court. She was born & raised right here in Raleigh N.C. Essence is a graduate of North Carolina Central University’s School of Behavorial Sciences. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a concentration in juvenile Justice. Essence has a lot of knowledge about the Juvenile Justice system and is thrilled to be working in a diversion program. She enjoys playing cars with her two nephews and spending time with her friends and family.

Emma is one of our case managers at Capital Area Teen Court. She is knowledgeable about our restorative practices and other resources available to clients. Emma is a graduate of Appalachian state, a former swim instructor and lifetime Raleigh resident.

The Teen Traffic Diversion program is run by Nancy Reyna. Nancy has been with Capital Area Teen Court since May of 2023. Having previously been one of our teen court case managers, Nancy is incredibly well versed on all aspects of our teen court program. Nancy truly is a rockstar, balancing her Teen traffic duties, getting her master’s in criminal justice, and being a mom!

Mia is Teen Court’s newest case manager, and she plays an important role for our Spanish Speaking clients. Growing up bilingual/cultural, Mia brings a pluralistic perspective to our program. She is a recent graduate of UNC Asheville where she doubled major in Psychology and Language and literature. Mia uses her education to give her clients the best tools possible in order to succeed.
